With arguably the best hockey player in the world, Connor McDavid, there has been some heated statements made about late Oilers' games this postseason.

Last night's Edmonton Oilers game was scheduled to start at 8:30 PM M.T. or 10:30 PM eastern time. This has caused major backlash amongst east coast fans that are trying to catch games in the western conference as the game is very late for a work night. The game last night was scheduled for 10:30 PM but the puck did not drop until some time around 10:50 PM.
Not only is this an inconvenience for any fans on the east coast, it was also a very late start for the local crowd who are staying up late to support the team they share the city with. The only fanbase that got a normal start time were the Los Angeles Kings. The local time in Los Angeles was 7:30 PM (around 7:50 PM at puck drop).
The Oilers extended the series lead to 3-1 last night with a shutout victory and will look to take the series on Wednesday, May 1st.
