Evander Kane has been in an awkward situation with the Edmonton Oilers all off-season, but it appears he's set for the long haul with the team.

The Edmonton Oilers were just moments from the Stanley Cup in 2024, and now this off-season, they've continued loading up around Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl to take that final step. One rumour that has continued over the past few months has been Evander Kane's potential departure, as the team need to shed some salary cap to remain compliant.
However, a recent update on his injury status has revealed that not only will he be good to go for the start of the 2024/25 season, but he'll continue to be a huge part of this Oilers lineup.
Based on reports we've gotten over the last 48 hours @EdmontonOilers forward @evanderkane should be fully recovered & healthy by September when training camp opens up.

Kane has been able to do some activities, he's been golfing with his friends in Edmonton & enjoying life as he should be. He's also built a new home in Edmonton & the community has treated him very well as he's also treated the community well in return. It's been a great fit for both sides. He wants to be apart of this winning culture, he's been adding to it since be got to Edmonton.

The health is the most serious thing here, it sounds like it's been getting better for Kane. Which is a huge positive.

With him in the Oilers lineup they look like can't be matched by any other team in the @NHL
Despite many seeing 2023/24 as a down year for Kane, he still managed a solid 24 goals over 77 games played, and with 4 goals and 8 points in the playoffs, he will remain in the lineup. Simply put, 2024/25 is Stanley Cup or bust for the Edmonton Oilers, and with Evander Kane in this deep, star studded lineup, they have a better chance than anyone in the Western Conference.
