After another defeat to the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Los Angeles Kings are seemingly shaking things up this summer, and now they've added a familiar face. Over the weekend, they inked former Edmonton Oilers defenseman Caleb Jones to a one-year, two-way deal as he is set to be solid depth and experience for a team desperately needing it.
The 27-year old was drafted by the Oilers back in the 2015 NHL Draft in the fourth round, and after playing with the team until 2021, he's bounced around the NHL since, seeing playing time in both the NHL and the AHL. Last season, Jones played 25 games for the Colorado Avalanche, netting five assists over that time, and now he'll join a team where he will have the opportunity to earn some significant playing time.
