Oilers' forwards, Adam Henrique and Evander Kane, miss morning practice causing panic going into the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

After the Edmonton Oilers advanced to the second round of the Stanley cup Playoffs on Wednesday, May 1st. The Oilers hosted a morning practice yesterday but Adam Henrique and Evander Kane were not seen at practice.
Both forwards are key pieces to the Oilers' roster as they both are amongst the top 5 on the team in scoring. Specifically, Evander Kane, is a major part of Edmonton's grit and tenacity.
Here is an example of what Evander Kane brings to the Oilers coming from a video posted by DRAI_29 on X,
Kane also revealed before the Playoffs began that he was dealing with a sports hernia all year. This caused some to question as to why he was not placed on the LTIR before the trade deadline to preserve his health, and the Oilers were in a Playoffs position at the trade deadline.
Both Kane and Henrique have been key contributors through the first round against the Kings and at this stage of the Playoffs would be huge losses to the Oilers top 9 forwards. However, this does not take away from the fact that the Oilers' second round matchup, the Vancouver Canucks, have been enduring their own injury struggles in net.
Potentially one of the biggest stories so far from the Playoffs is third string goaltender for the Vancouver Canucks, Arturs Silovs, who has been on a tear with the team and just collected his first Stanley Cup Playoff shutout to clinch their first round series. This will likely bring flashbacks to some Oilers' fans who remember the second round matchup in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs where the Oilers faced Adin Hill. Adin Hill was Vegas' third string goalie after Lauren Brossoit and Logan Thompson went down with injury. Hill played amazing in net that series and was a big part of Vegas' success in the playoffs last year.
