The Edmonton Oilers have had a tumultuous season, having drifted out of the bottom and middle teams after an astounding 16-game winning streak, but losing some ground and dropping out of the leading ten. Last night, though, they earned another win against Dallas, the current fourth team in the league. This, however, did not come without some serious flops.
As a result of this horrible play, it appears that Edmonton's coach Kris Knoublach has removed Brown from the lineup ahead of tomorrow night's game against the Coyotes. With 0 goals and only 4 assists this season, Brown may be more of a liability in the game than not.
The Oilers are currently 11th in the league and are 15 points ahead of the current 27th in the league Arizona. While still far ahead of the Coyotes, Edmonton needs more consistency to beat them. Perhaps getting rid of Brown will provide them with the security they need to add another win to the column.
