The Kings versus Oilers series has already been one of the most dynamic of this year's playoffs, with both teams tied with one game each. Yet, amid the jeers from Edmonton fans, one Los Angeles goaltender had a brilliant response.

The Los Angeles Kings have had some luck with their goaltender and former Oilers player Cam Talbot. As expected, Edmonton fans have taken the tradition of calling out the opposing team's goalie in the game seriously, starting their chants against him ahead of their last game before the anthem even began.
"oilers fans are already after cam talbot before the anthems start 💀"
However, this 36-year-old veteran goaltender demonstrated his sense of humor and took these chants in stride. His response turned Oilers fans on their head when he implied they simply miss him playing for their team.
«It's just because they miss me. I think they just miss me and they're cheering for me at this point. That's how I channel it in my head.»
While some NHL fans are taking the opportunity to poke fun at this player, most have expressed their appreciation of Talbot's attitude. It is clear to them he always takes the heat of the competition lightly and remains a class act.
"Cam Talbot a real pro when chatting about chanting from Edmonton crowd last night.
Expected to get the treatment other goalies receive in playoffs at Rogers but maintains city holds a special place in heart - greatest success, kids born here. Looking to reverse outcome tomorrow."
The Los Angeles Kings will play their next game in their first-round playoff series against the Edmonton Oilers tonight at the Crypto.com arena. Cam Talbot can be expected to play hard to push his team back into the lead.
