This afternoon Montreal Canadiens legend Carey Price and his wife Angela announced some incredibly sad news. The Price family suffered an immense loss and he will now likely not be around the Montreal Canadiens as expected.
Today the Price family resurfaced to reveal heartbreaking news regarding their family. On Instagram Carey's wife Angela revealed that Carey's Aunt Laura had passed away. As a result, the family gathered in Spokane to mourn and celebrate the life of his Aunt.
It wasn't under the best circumstances, but it was a nice visit to Spokane. It was a beautiful service for Aunt Laura.
We had never really explored Spokane, apart from the downtown... It's actually a very nice place!
This post from Angela Price has put into doubt Carey Price's expected return to Montreal for the team's home game against the Detroit Red Wings. Several reports had hinted that he might return as a surprise guest for the game.
It remains to be seen if and when Carey Price will return to Montreal next. Over the last couple of years, he has been fairly active with the team considering his radio silence after stepping away. We wish Carey Price and his family the best as they navigate their loss and hope to see him back in a hockey arena again soon.
