Following his departure from the Columbus Blue Jackets, Patrik Laine's fiancee Jordan Leigh embraced Montreal Canadiens fans on social media.

Despite his clear talent, neither the Winnipeg Jets nor the Columbus Blue Jets had the chance to see Patrik Laine play at his full potential. After only playing 18 games last season, he entered the NHL/NHLPA Players Assitance Program to recover from an injury and focus on his mental health. After his clearance and trade rumors circulated, the 26-year-old forward finally got his chance at a fresh start with the Montreal Canadiens, having been sent there with a 2026 second-round pick for defenseman Jordan Harris.
Though he is the biggest new face for the Canadiens, his fiancee, Jordan Leigh, has recently taken a bigger spot among those in Montreal. Ahead of her move to Quebec, Jordan Leigh posed a question on her Instagram story about what she needs to know before moving to Montreal, also adding a request for a French teacher.
"What do I need to know before moving to Montreal?

And also, if anyone knows a French teacher, please send me their contact details"

Shortly thereafter, she received a barrage of messages from followers, primarily discussing the food in Montreal. She shared a screenshot of these responses to her story, commenting on her lack of knowledge about poutine while also thanking fans for their input.
"I don't know what poutine is, but it looks like I'm absolutely about to find out.

Thanks for the love, everyone! I'm taking note!"

After all the struggles Patrik Laine has gone through during his time in the NHL, it is nice to see his fiancee is supportive and engaged with his fanbase and career. Hopefully, he will start his climb back to the top of his game and make the Montreal Canadiens as proud as he has made Jordan Leigh in his triumph over adversity.
