Kane Knows His New Home
Patrick Kane is undoubtedly the most talented UFA on the market right now. While there is league-wide interest, Kane has made it clear that he will not sign until he is completely rehabilitated.
Insider Eklund of HockeyBuzz.com has spoked with one of Kane's good friends and revealed the following:
«He will play for a contender. He already knows the team too.»
Where Could He Be Thinking?
While we do not know exactly where it will be, there are a few options that are interesting.
Buffalo
The Sabres are Kane's hometown team and with a young roster that is blossoming into a playoff contender, they could see Kane join them and become an instant impact player.
Edmonton
The Oilers were linked to Kane for a long time when he was a Blackhawk and clearly have the offensive firepower to elevate Kane's game to a new level. If he signs a one or two-year deal in Edmonton, he could easily produce over a 100-point pace.
New York Rangers
The Rangers could also resign Kane when it is all said and done. If they are in a playoff position and desire a bit more offense, Kane could come in and become an instant impact as he knows the Ranger's core well.
On top of this, there are plenty of other options for Kane and at the end of the day, he will make the choice he feels is best for his career.
