Talking to a source this morning and Chris Kreider is a name that has popped up a few times in the last 72 hours.Colorado, Detroit, and Minnesota have all reached out. Curious as to if the Rangers are actually going to move himand if so, there must be something else they are considering
Colorado, Detroit, and Minnesota are all in need of some goal-scoring and Kreider provides plenty with 88 goals over the past two seasons.
Kreider's Relation With New York
Since being drafted by the Rangers back in 2009, Kreider has played the entirety of his 733-game career with the Blueshirts.
He is quite a prolific goal-scoring having scored 52 goals in 2021-22 truly gelling well with his linemates Mika Zibanejad and Artemi Panarin.
While he is yet to have a season over a point per game, Kreider could potentially do that with a new team that has a style of offense that caters to Kreider's game more than the Rangers' style of game.
He is under contract for the next four seasons at a cap hit of $6.5 million and has a 15-team no-trade list.
