Novak stands at a towering 6'3" weighing a monster 203lbs. He certainly has an NHL frame but he has some work to do offensively to get there.
The young forward scored 12 points in 14 ECHL games last year but in the NCAA, his scoring was subpar with 12 points in 35 games. However, Novak is a leader having worn a letter with Northeastern the past few seasons.
He was unsigned with the Senators and it was clear he was not going to sign. He will now look to earn a spot with the Laval Rocket of the AHL and hopefully one day make his NHL dreams come true.
