The NHL's Frozen Frenzy was filled with drama yesterday. This included a moment of blatant disrespect of the Ottawa Senators toward their goalie.
Senators Get Off To A Rough Start Against The Sabres
In a division rivalry between two playoff hopefuls the Ottawa Senators and Buffalo Sabres were both looking to make a statement. The game was a rout by the Buffalo Sabres through two periods who had a 5-1 lead.
The Senators decided to make a big change heading into the third period. The only problem is they didn't tell their players the change was happening.
The Ottawa Senators decided to make a goalie change after the second period. The problem was coach DJ Smith didn't tell the start Anton Forsberg he was being pulled.
Nobody told Forsberg that he wasnt playing the 3rd period. Hamonic had to come over and tell him #LetsGoBuffalo #GoSensGo
Travis Hamonic had to go and tell Forsberg his night was done. This is one of the most disrespectful and wild scenes from a coach in a while. It shows just how unorganized the Senators' organization is right now.
With their lackluster start at 3-3 and this fiasco, DJ Smith's job could be in jeopardy if they fail to make the playoffs.
