The Senators have gone through quite a turbulent time recently with many major moves happening throughout the organization. Now another one seems to be imminent after the team's sluggish start to the season.

Dorion To Be Replaced BY Chiarelli

NHL insider David Pagnotta revealed on X today that he believes Pierre Dorion's time with the Senators is over. He believes the team will make an announcement shorty in which they will replace him with former Oilers general manager Peter Chiarelli.
This news is backed up by another insider, TSN's Shawn Simpson who reported today that he has heard Chiarelli is set to replace Dorion as well.

Difficult Times In Ottawa May Finally Be Over

This news comes after turbulent times for the Senators. The long-term plan for their building is unclear, they just got a new owner, one of their promising young players received a massive 41 game suspension, among other things that have plagued the organization in recent years.

Luckily for Senators fans, the team finally seems to have a core they can win with. The young team is lead by Tim Stuzle, who so far has been the best player to come out of the 2020 draft class. Other home grown players include Jake Sanderson, Brady Tkachuk, and Drake Batherson. These players have been supplemented with trade acquisitions such as Josh Norris and Jakob Chychrun. Put them all together and you've got yourself a pretty decent looking roster.
Unfortunately for the Sens, the Atlantic division seems to be a powerhouse this year and their mediocre 4-4 start is only good enough for 7th in the division. It's still early though so if the team can build some momentum, this could be the year the team finally gets back into the playoffs.
