The Flyers made a number of moves at the trade deadline this year. Now one of their acquisitions could become a problem for the team.
Johansen Considering Not Reporting To American Hockey League
The team acquired center Ryan Johansen from the Avalanche as part of the trade for Sean Walker. Johansen had to be part of the deal in order for the cap to work for the Avs, but he did not figure to be a part of the Flyers plans. As such, the team immediately put him on waivers.
However, the 31-year-old center could ruin the team's plans to an extent as he is now considering not reporting to the American Hockey league at all. He is apparently also dealing with some injuries that are influencing his decision.
It appears that Ryan Johansen is dealing with injuries and it is still unclear if he'll report to LV - something seemingly out of left field.
Johansen is a buyout candidate this summer (if healthy). Injured players cannot be bought out.

The Flyers are thus in a tough position with Johansen. He does have 13 goals and 23 points this season, showing that he can still be an effective NHL player. However, his cap hit and age do not fit with the Flyers timeline.
