Sean Couturier has been a warrior for the Philadelphia Flyers for a long, long time, but now it appears his career could potentially be over.

In recent times, Philadelphia Flyers captain Sean Couturier has gone through a rough stretch, with the worst of all being his benching at the hands of Head Coach John Tortorella. On top of that, Tortorella has gone on a rant lately targeting the effort of this team, and while he never mentions Couturier, it's hard not to see this as a shot at his captain.
«My job is, I'm going to push athletes. . . I was in control the other night. What I said I meant. And, quite honestly, when I watch the tape now, I'm more concerned than just the second period. Because of, I'm so proud of the team getting here."

«And I guess now that narrative out there is, because I've heard from other people, is that they're young, they're not supposed to be here bullshit! We're here! We're here; face it!»
Now, things are getting even worse, as Flyers GM Danny Briere has now revealed that Couturier will miss the team's next two games with an upper-body injury, labeling the veteran forward as 'day-to-day'.
Injury update per Flyers GM Daniel Briere:

Sean Couturier has an upper-body injury and is day-to-day. He will not travel with the team and won't be available the next two games.
Unsurprisingly, some fans are now finding their own narrative out of this that his career, at least in Philadelphia could be over.
There's nothing official to back up these statements, but when you put it all together, it's hard not to see that Couturier's incredible run in Philadelphia may be coming to an unfortunate end.
