Pittsburgh Signs Jesse Puljujarvi to Two-Year Deal
The Pittsburgh Penguins will change some things up after the all-star break, bringing in forward Jesse Puljujarvi on a two-year deal with an AAV of $800,000. Puljujarvi has yet to play in the NHL this season after recovering from offseason surgery this past summer.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have added 25-year-old Jesse Puljujarvi to the fold on a two-year contract.
The Finn has been recovering until now from off-season surgery. Last season with Edmonton and Carolina, he combined for five goals and 16 points in 75 games.
In 13 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) this season, he produced nine points.
Puljujarvi was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers back in 2016 and played his first 6 seasons with the team. He was traded to Carolina last year before undergoing surgery.
We will see if he can bring some new energy to the struggling Pittsburgh Penguins after the all-star break.
