The Pittsburgh Penguins and President Kyle Dubas are bringing back a familiar face - none other than former captain Jaromir Jagr.
He will be joining their front office while still playing professionally for HC Kladno, the team he owns back in Czechia.
According to Rob Rossi over at The Athletic, the Penguins are making moves to bring Jagr on board. Kevin Acklin, the Penguins' President of Business Operations, said in an interview, mentioning that they've been eyeing Jagr for a while now. They even recruited him during a recent visit to Prague for the World Championship, won by Czechia.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are reportedly working on hiring legendary winger Jaromr Jágr to their front office, shares Rob Rossi of The Athletic in an interview with Penguins' President of Business Operations, Kevin Acklin.
Acklin shared that the team is ready to enter a «new chapter» after Jágr's retirement ceremony in February. The team has been working on recruiting Jágr ever since, recently making an extra push while visiting Prague for the World Championship.
Jagr not only rocked the Penguins' jersey before, and won multiple cups, but he's also one of the rare few who's shared the ice with both Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby.
Even though he's still lacing up his skates, there's talk of him making a comeback to North America once he hangs them up for good - and that could be in his 50s!
