Today the Winnipeg Jets and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff have announced a major change to the coaching staff heading into next season.

This afternoon reports are confirming that the Winnipeg Jets are making a change to their coaching staff. Assistant coach Brad Lauer has been relieved of his duties and the search for a new assistant coach will begin.
Winnipeg staff update:

Brad Lauer has been let go.
AC Brad Lauer will NOT be brought back by the #NHlJets, GM Kevin Cheveldayoff just revealed.
The change comes as a result of new head coach Scott Arniel taking over the reigns in Winnipeg. He likely will want to bring in his own staff that he is familiar with and on the same page as.
Scott Arniel has two assistant coach jobs to fill. Says he'll work hard this week to put a staff together.
Now the Winnipeg Jets front office will have another item to add to their list. Once the new assistant coaches are hired we will pass the news along to you as to who will be heading to Winnipeg. In the meantime stay tuned for all the latest news and notes on the Jets and several other teams.
