The St. Louis Blues announced a change in their ownership group on Thursday morning.

David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period shared an update on X, in which he stated that David Steward's partial ownership was sold to Michael W. Riney.
Here's what he wrote:
"Earlier this morning, the St. Louis Blues announced a change in their ownership group: David Steward's partial ownership stake has been sold to Michael W. Riney, keeping the team's all-local ownership structure intact."

The majority owner Tom Stillman made the following declaration in the announcement:
"Dave Steward was a key member of the St. Louis-based ownership group that we assembled in 2012,» said Stillman in Thursday's release. «His support has been steadfast ever since, and we are grateful for Dave's commitment to the Blues and to St. Louis."

"We are pleased to welcome Michael Riney to our ownership group,» Stillman stated. «Like all members of the group, Michael has a passion for the Blues and a strong commitment to St. Louis. The rest of the group will remain the same as we work toward a successful 2024-25 season."

In another post, he announced that another NHL franchise is currently working on making an ownership change before the start of the next season. However, Pagnotta didn't reveal which team will be making that change:
"Another NHL club is in the process of selling a larger portion of its franchise, which is nearing completion and is expected to be finalized this summer."
More to come.
