Mario Ferraro has been one of the most consistent defensemen in the San Jose Shark's organisation for the last five seasons. He's a reliable two-way defender who can play a physical game.
And although he hasn't put up too many points in his career, he can chip in offensively every now and then.
There is interest around the league for the Sharks defenseman
There are a few teams around the league who could be interested in the Shark's defenseman, including the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, and Minnesota Wild. The trouble is that none of those teams have the cap room to fit Ferraro and his $3.25 million contract under the cap.
If Ferraro will be traded, it will likely be during the 2024 offseason when teams have more cap space to deal with.
