Shanahan Reveals The Shocking reason why Kyle Dubas got fired

Kyle Dubas was relieved of duties as Maple Leafs GM which was unexpected and out of left field but it appears that Dubas was asking for too much and despite wanting the job, he wanted too much money.

By asking for more money, Shanahan got a sense that Dubas did not have the teams best interests in mind.

While Shanahan got this sense, Dubas' words contradicted this notion.

Despite the email stating that he wanted to be the GM, Dubas' actions proved to ownership that he was prioritizing himself over the team.

While the two parties wanted to work something out at the start, the actions of Dubas showed everybody that he did not have his priorities set straight and that he wanted to make more money than to win.
