The decision has let mixed responses as some believed he was due for a longer suspension. However, other fans think the suspension is too-long given Reilly's history in the league. This is the first time the 29-year-old has ever been fined or suspended.

Leafs Fans Await Possible Appeal Of Suspension From Rielly
The defenseman could ask the player's association to file an appeal on his behalf. At this point there is no word on whether or not he intends to do this. However, it should be noted that the last player to receive an in-person hearing did request an appeal. That was David Perron, and his six-game suspension was upheld.
be sure to stay tuned to see if Rielly appeals this decision and how that might affect the length of the sentence.
