The Toronto Maple Leafs came into game 4 against the Boston Bruins down 2-1 in the series and needing a win. Many expected to see a desperate to win team with a lot of energy. Instead the Maple Leafs have come out flat and gotten kicked around leading to frustration within the team.
With the Maple Leafs down 3-0 the frustration and high stakes of the game started getting to some of the star players. Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and William Nylander were caught in a shouting match on the bench.
Frustration has started to set in for the Maple Leafs stars
As you can see forward Mitch Marner seems to be taking the most of the frustration as he chucked his gloves into the bench moments later. The fans have shared the players frustrations and let the players know it booing them off the ice at the end of the 2nd period.
The Maple Leafs look like they are on their way to being down 3-1 in the series and without a miracle will be heading home after round one once again. This frustration and arguing among the core four could spell the end of an era for the Maple Leafs this offseason.
