An analyst covering the Winnipeg Jets says the team lost its composure during game 3 of their 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs series against the Colorado Avalanche

The Winnipeg Jets went into their first round series of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Colorado Avalanche as the betting favourites to make it to the second round. The team now finds itself losing the series 2-1 after a terrible game 3 against the Avs that was the Jets second loss in a row.
Mike McIntyre, who's been covering the Winnipeg Jets for years for the Winnipeg Free Press, says the team allowed itself to get rattled, and couldn't recover.
"They lost their lead. They lost their composure. They lost the game."
As McIntyre points out, all was well through the first two periods, and the team then fell apart.
" A parade to the penalty box and an inability to get a kill proved fatal, with the home team scoring five times in the final frame to absolutely bury them."

"Unfortunately for Winnipeg, a hockey game is three periods long."

Murat Ates of The Athletic feels much the same way about the Jets' play in game 3, calling the outcome "self-inflicted."
"...the Jets scored the go-ahead goal again and proceeded to collapse again as self-inflicted wounds took them out of a game they controlled, [coach Rick] Bowness is still urgently trying to solve a familiar problem: how to bounce back from a playoff loss."
As with all teams trailing in a series, there is precious little time to turn things around before you risk losing it all. The Winnipeg Jets have to figure out how to calm things down and stick to their game in the third period, or a quick exit is in the cards.
