Bruce Boudreau recently opened up on a podcast about the terrible line of thought Canucks' management had regarding this star player, and what they wanted him to do.

Boudreau Reveals Management Wanted Him to Play Quin Hughes At Center

Bruce Boudreau is becoming a well-liked voice for the NHL since he left his position as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks have skyrocketed to success since his leaving, though no one is blaming Boudreau for their failings.
Recently, Boudreau revealed a story of how Canucks management was meddling in the development of star defenseman Quinn Hughes, wanting Boudreau to play him at Center instead of Defense.
«Somebody in that Vancouver organization tried to make me make Quinn Hughes a center last year.»

Bruce Boudreau dropped a BOMB
This would have been a terrible stunt to Hughes' development, and now he is on track to win a Norris Trophy.

Hughes Having Incredible Year

Hughes and the Canucks are having an incredible year this season. They sit near the top of the Western Conference and on top of the Pacific Division. Hughes, on the other hand, is also having a stellar year. He has 51 points in 42 games played so far this season, on pace for over 100 points as a defenseman, which is incredible.
To be a Norris trophy candidate, considered one of the best in the world, or everyou have to play a 200 ft game, but you also MUST be able to make plays like this. Quinn Hughes makes these plays look easy! Elite.
The Canucks and Hughes will both look to continue their successful seasons during the second half of the year.
