The insider Elliotte Friedman leaked a massive contract offer from the Vancouver Canucks to free agent Elias Lindholm.

After acquiring him from the Calgary Flames in return for Andrei Kuzmenko, draft picks, and prospects, it looks like the Canucks are set on keeping him long-term.
Friedman believes the Canucks would be ready to offer him a 7-year, $7M AAV contract before he enters the free agent market on July 1st:
'A couple of weeks ago on the pod, during the playoffs, we talked about the recruiting efforts from the Canucks players; they were pretty intense. "You gotta stay, you gotta stay, you gotta find a way to stay." I still think that's going on. This is my guess: I think the Canucks are willing to go in the 77 range; I'm just not sure it's going to get it done. I think the Canucks want this player.' - Elliotte Friedman
Since he joined the Canucks, he struggled a bit in the regular season but stepped up in the playoffs, tallying 10 points in 13 games.
Many teams could show interest in Lindholm if he doesn't sign a contract before July 1st. That's why the Canucks surely hope to reach a deal with the player in the coming weeks.
Do you think Elias Lindholm will sign a contract with the Vancouver Canucks before July 1st?
