The Oilers-Canucks series has already had an intriguing start, with a tied series after two close games. However, Vancouver's Nikita Zadorov took the fight off the ice after taking the city of Edmonton down in a post-game interview.

The Canucks and Oilers have started their second-round series on a high note, with all players competing at a very high level. After Vancouver took the first game 5-4 and Edmonton 4-3 in overtime, it is clear both teams are taking this matchup very seriously.
However, the players are now turning up the heat off the ice. In a post-game interview, Canuck's defenseman Nikita Zadorov threw shade at the entirety of Edmonton upon asking him about his time playing in the city.
"It's fun, they have good fans, diehard fans. I mean, there's pretty much nothing else to do in that city except watch hockey."

However, not to leave on a negative note, Big Z continued speaking on the city, saying he has always had positive experiences playing in Edmonton.
"I like what they're doing, they love their team for sure in supporting them so hard. But it's been fun, I've only had good experiences over there for sure.»
Despite the fact that some fans from Edmonton were not pleased with his comments, most found his remarks humorous. Zadorov has slowly garnered a following, which only seemed to grow it.
"Nikita is becoming the Belle of Ball and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT. He's my favorite non-goalie player for sure. (And if you're new here, that's saying something because you know how I feel about goalies!) Give me all the Big Z content, thank you."
The Canucks and Oilers have their next game tomorrow evening at Rogers Place in Edmonton. With Zadorov's comments on the city, Vancouver may have a harder time drowning out the crowd in their attempt to regain the series lead.
