This summer we have seen several NHL veterans call it quits on their career, and now, according to one report, another is on the way out as well.
As the season approaches, many players remained free agents, and while Paul Stastny remained on that list, it appears he can now be taken off it, as the 17-year veteran is reportedly done.
According to NHL Insider Frank Seravalli, the former second-round pick could be done, even after another solid campaign in 2022-23 with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Stastny's career started way back in 2006 with the Colorado Avalanche, and since then, he's made stops with the St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, Vegas Golden Knights and eventually Carolina.
Over that time, Stastny put together 1,145 games with 293 goals and 822 points, and will be respected and remembered as one of the game's most consistent players throughout this generation.
