It is no question that fighting will remain a hot topic in the years to come for the NHL. As one of the very few professional sports that condone fist fighting (non-ejection for participating), and with the continued focus on concussions in professional sports, it fighting will be under the spotlight as something to get rid of.
Yet, many players, coaches, pundits and GMs believe that fighting belongs in the game. I defer to those who play and wouldn't want to see it eliminated unless it was put to a vote by the players.
For now, though, we can count on seeing a few tilts this upcoming season. Maybe even one with Burky.
