Golden Knights forward, Mark Stone, is looking to make his return to the lineup against the Dallas Stars for round 1 of the Playoffs.

Mark Stone has been out the Golden Knights lineup since February 20, where he lacerated his spleen, likely from a hit from Yakov Trenin. At the time the injury was seen as much more serious as this could have potentially been a career ending injury.
This season, Stone, has been on a tear with 16 goals and 53 points in 56 games. The veteran forward will look to make another great playoff run after winning the Stanley Cup last season with the Knights.
There is not much surprise to rumours of Stone returning from the long term injured reserve, as there is no salary cap in the playoffs. This comes with the notion that players receive their last paycheque in the regular season. Vegas has recently added three key players to their practice squads including Stone, Alex Pietrangelo, and William Carrier. This will allow them to play over the cap without penalty. This type of LTIR movement has become very popular amongst Stanley Cup winning teams including the Tampa Bay Lightning who have done it in the past as well.
