Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin has shared shocking details about the Capitals postgame routine.

During an interview, Ovechkin stated that some of the members on the team like to share 2-3 drinks in the dressing room after the game. Even more surprising is that they take it from the coaches fridge, something i'm sure Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery doesn't appreciate very much.
Ovechkin was also quoted saying something that only someone of his calibre could get away with.
«I can't imagine a [player] who says he doesn't drink, You can take a break for a certain time, but after the game, 2 to 3 cans of beer with pleasure.»
Some fans may find this behaviour inappropriate, considering these are professional athletes, but the Capitals had a lot of aging veteran players on their roster last season, including T.J Oshie and Max Pacioretty, who may have just wanted rest instead of hopping on a stationary bike.
Ovechkin is no stranger to having a couple drinks, as the summer after the Capitals won the Stanley Cup was dubbed «the summer of Ovi».
As long as Ovechkin produces, which he did last season, scoring 65 points in 79 games, the Capitals should have no issue with whatever postgame shenanigans Ovechkin comes up with.
