Nino Niederreiter seeking term on his next contract

Niederreiter has been off to a solid start to the season with 10 points in his first 14 games with the Winnipeg Jets. He currently makes $4 million annually on his contract and could get a raise when it expires this offseason.
He is in the final year of his contract and will be hitting unrestricted free agency this July. This is the second year of a two-year deal he signed with the Nashville Predators in the 2022 offseason. He was traded from Nashville to Winnipeg at the 2023 trade deadline.

Niederreiter will be a hot commodity in free agency

There will be many teams interested in Niedereitter's services and they will be offering him lucrative contracts. There is no indication of where he will end up but he wants at least 3-4 years on his next contract, or up to double of his current deal.
