John Scott is no stranger to confrontation, as that is how he made his career in the NHL. Even though he has retired, he hasn't fully stepped away from stirring the pot in the NHL. Now, he has called out the Winnipeg Jets for their lack of ability to win the Cup.
The feeling around the Jets now has done a complete 180 from how many felt about the team at the end of last season. After losing in the first round (albeit, to the Cup champs) many thought the Jets window to win had closed. Rumours arose of stars like Mark Schiefele and Connor Helebuyck wanting out.
Now, with a newly extended Schiefele and Hellebuyck, the team has rejuvenated for this year. Although the team is only 1-2 to start the year, there is a newfound energy that wasn't there at the end of the year last year and throughout the offseason.
