A former Winnipeg Jet is officially in danger of having his NHL career come to an end after he was placed on waivers by one of the worst teams in the NHL.
Sanford In Danger Of Losing NHL Career
Today's waivers were just announced by Elliotte Friedman and there is a name listed that is familiar to Winnipeg Jets fans.
Sanford (CHI) & MacDonald (SJ) on waivers
Zach Sanford of the Chicago Blackhawks is officially on waivers and could be heading to the AHL if not claimed by anybody. The Blackhawks are currently the worst team in the NHL so if they have given up on Sanford things look bleak for his NHL career.
Sanford previously played with the Winnipeg Jets in 2021-22 where he scored 4 points through 18 games with the team. He left the Jets in the summer of 2022 and has struggled to maintain his NHL career since.
