Several players on the Winnipeg Jets are in a contract year next season, which could lead to a huge year for them as they hope for a massive pay raise.

There are three specific players on the Jets that could have the biggest breakout season and provide the greatest impact for the team. They are Kaapo Kahkonen, Neal Pionk and Dylan Samberg.
Kaapo Kahkonen - it's Finnish for shutout.
Source: trust us, bro.
Kahkonen had a good season when he was playing with the New Jersey Devils, but unfortunately he was stuck playing with the bottom feeding San Jose Sharks last season, where his numbers really tumbled. He had a horrible 3.71 GAA and an .892 save percentage, so there is nowhere but up from that, and with a much better defensive system in Winnipeg, he should have a very strong bounce back year.
Neal Pionk puts it into his own net 😳
Pionk went through some rough stretches last season, scoring in his own net and having an extended goalless drought, so coming into a contract year, he knows he will want to improve. He has been a 30-point producer from the blue line for five years in a row, and plays key minutes for the Jets on the blue line.
Well said Sean Reynolds. 👏 If you're going to talk the talk then you better be prepared to walk the walk.

And if you want to talk development, look at Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, Josh Morrissey, Dylan Samberg and Connor Hellebuyck. #NHLJets #GoJetsGo
Samberg doesn't usually put up huge points in a season, as he focuses more on his defensive play. He has a +26 rating over the past two seasons, so the Jets know they can count on him to help keep goals out of their net. If he can have another season like the last two, and put up 30 points, he will easily see a pay raise of two to three million. We have a very intriguing season ahead in Winnipeg it seems.
