Jets Brenden Dillon to officially miss game five with brutal injury

The Winnipeg Jets have fallen behind 3-1 in their series with the Colorado Avalanche, and now a top star will miss a must-win game five.

During a brutal game four in Colorado that placed Winnipeg on the verge of elimination, star defenseman Brenden Dillon suffered a brutal cut on his hand that led to blood gushing immediately.
The injury looked horrendous on first viewing, and while he's likely not out to be long term, it's not looking good for the near future. Now, the team have officially revealed that he will miss a crucial game five at home as the team look to save themselves from elimination.
The #Jets 🇨🇦 will be without defenseman Brenden Dillon 🇨🇦🇵🇹 for Game 5 due to a cut on his left hand.

They trail 3-1 in the series.

The Avalanche have all the momentum heading into game five, and the loss of Dillon makes things even tougher, so we will see how the Jets can rebound with their backs against the wall.
