It's tough to say if the Winnipeg Jets are eyeing any of the remaining free agents or veteran players for a PTO, but there are definitely some interesting options available. Even if they do sign someone to a PTO, they'll still need to prove they deserve a spot on the roster.
He's bounced around, playing for five different teams earlier in his career, but seemed to find his groove with the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers. He fit well into his role as a bottom-six forward and was a key cog to them lifting the silver chalice.
The Jets already have a few players who play a similar style to Cousins, but it wouldn't hurt to see how he could fit on their fourth line. At 31 years old, Cousins could be a solid PTO candidate if he's still up for grabs as the Summer winds down.
