The Winnipeg Jets' defenseman Josh Morrissey got nominated for the King Clancy Trophy.

Voted by members of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association and the NHL Broadcasters Association, the King Clancy is awarded every year to the player who best exemplifies leadership on and off the ice and made a significant controbution to society.
All 32 teams nominated a player, and the Jets' decided to go with Josh Morrissey.
"Josh Morrissey is our nominee for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy!

This award is presented to the player who "best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community."

The Jets' assistant-captain showed his leadership on the ice many times, but he also shined off the ice, with his involvement with "The Dream Factory".
