Massive trade proposal sees Winnipeg Jets acquire Nick Robertson

After several weeks of trade rumours surrounding Rutger McGroarty and the Winnipeg Jets, it could be just a matter of time until a deal gets done for the disgruntled winger, who has seemingly made it clear that he doesn't want to be a Jet. Now, one intriguing trade suggestion has emerged that would send him to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for Nick Robertson and a second-round draft pick.

On paper, this is a deal that could work out for both parties, as the Jets have a need of a young winger to fill the void left by several veterans this summer, while McGroarty may never end up playing for Winnipeg. Ultimately, it's expected that the team will look to entice him to the NHL before they trade him, but unless they can make that happen, this is the type of trade to expect, in what would be a solid return for the Jets.
