The Jets have struggled over the last month and as a result, have fallen to third in their division as the regular season winds down. Recently Rick Bowness was asked about their struggles and failed to find a good answer.

With the postseason fast approaching the Winnipeg Jets are looking to find momentum in the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, their recent run of play has sent them into a bit of a tailspin.
In a recent interview head coach Rick Bowness was asked about this struggle. He was asked about the constant line juggling. In his response, he says that the team needs certain players to step up and play to their potential.
«We certainly need more from certain players, we do,» Bowness said post-game.

This answer seems pretty petty from Rick Bowness. His team has struggled of course but placing all of the blame on the players not executing seems quite harsh.

«Again, we're just finding ways to beat ourselves,» Bowness said.

A lot of nights in recent weeks it feels as though the Jets are relying too heavily on goaltender Connor Hellebuyck to keep them in games. Recently Connor Hellebuyck parlayed his success this season into a major milestone and is on the verge of two more.
While the Winnipeg Jets playoff spot is pretty well secured heading into the final stretch of the season their seeding can change quite a bit depending on these games. If the Jets do not get themselves going it could lead to an early-round exit in a year the team has gone all-in to win the Stanley Cup.
