It's time to talk about the state of the Winnipeg Jets' blue line, and things are looking a shaky on the left side.

Logan Stanley, who was expected to suit up for Wednesday's preseason game against the Edmonton Oilers, ended up being a late scratch. Now we've got some concerning news: Stanley is going under the knife for knee surgery and will be out for at least four weeks, as Coach Scott Arniel confirmed.
It's a tough break for the team, especially with Stanley's injury coming just after he tweaked something during practice. We were all hoping it would be just a minor issue, but it's more serious than that.
Yet Stanley isn't the only hit to the Jets left side on their blueline. After Ville Heinola's recent medical check-up, we found out what was causing that mysterious swelling in his ankle, and it turns out, he has an infection.
With Stanley and Villie sidelined, the Jets are going to need to dig deep into their defensive depth as the season approaches.
