As the NHL season nears, here's a snapshot of Winnipeg Jets' 2023 NHL Draft selections:

Colby Barlow (LW, 18, first round)

After a promising performance in the Young Stars Classic, where he scored in a match against the Canucks prospects, Barlow faced an unfortunate illness during the main camp. He's set to return to the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL where he'll continue his role, taking on even more responsibility as a key player and team captain. Jets' coach Rick Bowness expressed disappointment in not seeing more of him, citing external uncontrollable circumstances.
He's back. Colby Barlow returns to Owen Sound to lead the Bears.

Zachary Nehring (RW, 18, third round)

Nehring, post his development camp in July, is all set to play for the Sioux Falls Stampede in the USHL. His stellar record from the previous season at Shattuck St. Mary's 18U Prep indicates his prowess, and he'll kick off the season with the Stampede's home opener against the Waterloo Black Hawks.
Jets take big-body RW Zachary Nehring in third-round at NHL Draft

Jacob Julien (C, 19, fifth round)

Julien, who had a goal during the Young Stars Classic, will rejoin the London Knights in the OHL. Shuffling between second and third-line centre roles, Julien is anticipated to get more on-ice time in varied roles, including penalty kills and potentially some power play action. The Knights' emphasis on development ensures Julien will be tested to find his best fit.

Thomas Milic (G, 20, fifth round)

Milic, hailing from New Westminster, impressed during the Young Stars Classic and Jets' training camp. Now among the three goalies with the Manitoba Moose, he embarks on his professional hockey journey. The organization trusts in his ability to adeptly transition into the pro scene.

Connor Levis (C, 18, seventh round)

Post his participation in the Young Stars Classic and the Jets' training, Levis returns to the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL. As a top-six forward, he'll play versatile roles, and with his maturity, he's expected to guide the younger roster. The Blazers anticipate a 30+ goal season from this seventh-round pick.

All in all, it's an exciting time for Jets fans as these prospects shape their paths.
