The Detroit Red Wings have had a very eventful past few days. The team went through a lot of drama during their seven-game losing streak, which they ended today with a 4-1 victory of the Sabres. However, this game was not drama free either.

Chiarot Nearly Lands Punch On Linesman During Scrum With Sabres

Red Wings defenseman Ben Chiarot has been at the center of much of the drama surrounding the team in recent days. Today he continued that trend as a post-whistle shoving match escalated into a scrum this afternoon. As Chiarot was trying to fight Sabres forward Jordan Greenway, he nearly punched a linesman on accident. Luckily, it appears as though the referee blocked the blow with his arm.
This comes just after the veteran blueliner got involved in an altercation with one of the team's top young forwards.

Chiarot Makes Up For Fight With Teammate By Defending Him In Scrum

Earlier in the week, Chiarot got into a fight with Lucas Raymond during a team practice. Things got so heated that teammates had to step in to pull the two players apart.

However, the veteran blueliner quickly patched things up with Raymond as he came to the young forward's defense in another scrum against the Arizona Coyotes. This one resulted in both players going to the box at the same time, giving them a chance to talk things out some more. Regardless though, it is clear that the incident in practice is behind them.
Hockey is beautiful. A day after fighting in practice, Ben Chiarot came to the defense of Lucas Raymond.

The Red Wings teammates are in the penalty box together.
