Today the Winnipeg Jets announced huge news regarding the injury status of several players. This includes the impending return of a key forward.
Jets Announce A Key Forward Is Close To A Return
During his most recent press conference, Winnipeg Jets head coach Rick Bowness was able to provide injury updates on several players. The most significant update provided involves forward Rasmus Kupari.
The update from Bowness confirms that bot Ville Heinola and Rasmus Kupari are back on the ice after being out with injuries. Kupari is closer to a return according to the team and could be back as soon as January 4th.
Both Ville Heinola (lower body) and Rasmus Kupari (upper body) skated with non-contact jerseys on this morning. Heiniola's return date has not been announced while Kupari has a chance at playing sometime during the team's next road trip through California and Arizona January 4-7.
During the same announcement the team also announced David Gustafsson will miss at least one more game with a lower-body injury.
David Gustafsson (lower body) who missed Wednesday's game in Chicago, will not play this weekend against the Wild.
