A significant development has emerged concerning Russian and Belarusian athletes in preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Russian and Belarusian Athletes Granted Opportunity to Participate in Upcoming Olympic Games

Athletes aspiring to take part in the Olympic Games will now have the chance to do so, albeit without representing their respective countries.
As per the announcement by the International Olympic Committee, athletes holding Russian or Belarusian passports will be allowed to register as Individual Neutral Athletes (INAs).
"The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has decided that Individual Neutral Athletes (AINs) who have qualified through the existing qualification systems of the International Federations (IFs) on the field of play will be declared eligible to compete at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 in accordance with the the conditions outlined below. Individual Neutral Athletes are athletes with a Russian or Belarusian passport."
Similar to all other athletes, they will be required to adhere to the Conditions of Participation specific to Paris 2024, which encompass "the peace mission of the Olympic Movement."
