The game between Team USA and Sweden in last night's World Junior Championship was heated, and fans are reacting to USA's questionable celebrations.

Team USA Takes Home Gold Medal In Crushing Win Over Sweden

Team USA showed just how big of a wagon their team was during last night's Gold Medal game against Sweden, winning 6-2 in an absolutely dominating fashion. The game was high stakes from the start, and the emotions were high throughout the matchup.
Team USA took it to the next level when one of their players had a questionable celebration after scoring the 5th goal of the game late in the third period.
This was a clear indication of just how emotional the game was between the two new rivals. What's even more telling of how heated the game was though was that a brawl broke out in the dying seconds of the game, which is very uncharacteristic of the World Junior tournament.

Team USA Captain Rutger McGroarty Under Fire For Celebration

To add salt to the wound, Team USA Captain and Winnipeg Jets prospect Rutger McGroarty is taking fire from fans for his questionable celebrations during the Gold Medal ceremony. McGroarty can be seen dancing during the ceremony, right in front of Swedish players. The emotions of the game continued to the handshake line after the game, with USA and Swedish players exchanging words.

Some fans in the comments are saying the move was unsportsmanlike after Team USA had won dominantly in a heated game. McGroarty was the Winnipeg Jets' first-round pick in the 2022 NHL entry draft.
