Michele Basso Passes Away
It was recently announced that Michele Basso tragically passed away at the age of 26, after a long battle with a disease.
Former Italian World Junior Championship member, and Italian league defenseman, Michele Basso has unfortunately passed away at the age of 26 after a long battle with a disease.
Basso's Legacy for Italian Hockey
Basso played for the Italian National team in the Under 18 and Under 20 tournaments in 2014-15 and 2015-16. He played 11 games with Asiago in the Italian League in 2015-2016 season.
Basso was one of the most promising prospects to come out of Italy, putting up 23 points in 21 games during the U20 games. He also played in the top Italian Hockey League until he was forced to stop playing because of his disease.
