The hockey world is grieving the sudden loss of Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, who were tragically killed in a biking accident on Thursday, the evening prior to their sister's wedding.

Johnny Gaudreau, known as "Johnny Hockey," was a star for both the Calgary Flames and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
He starred at Boston College winning a national championship before being drafted by the Flames in 2011, he became a franchise star, scoring over 30 goals and accumulating over 80 points in multiple seasons.
In 2022, Johnny joined the Blue Jackets, signing a seven-year deal to be closer to family.
His impact extended beyond the NHL, setting a record at the World Championships for USA Hockey for points with 43.
Matthew Gaudreau also pursued his hockey dreams, playing in the AHL and ECHL, and shared a championship season with Johnny at Boston College.
Our hearts go out to their family, friends, and everyone who knew them. Their legacy will continue to inspire and be remembered in the hockey community.
