Johnny Gaudreau's wife Meredith announces she is pregnant with their third child

At a memorial service held for Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau on Monday, a clearly devastated Meredith Gaudreau shockingly revealed that she is nine weeks pregnant, and she and Johnny were expecting their third child together.

Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau were killed by suspected drunk driver Sean Higgins on August 29th, and the hockey community is continuing to mourn their deaths. Meredith announced this news while talking about Johnny during their memorial service, a service in which many tears were shed.

Many fans were just beginning to accept that the two brothers truly were gone, and with the news that Johnny's wife is pregnant, many will return to the grieving stage of the process, and it makes the loss of Johnny Gaudreau an even harder pill to swallow.

In the video, Meredith talks about excited Johnny was to be a father of three, even though the pregnancy wasn't planned. She fights through tears as she talks about how excited he was to father a new child with her. It is absolutely devastating that he will never get to see his children grow up, or see his third child be born at all.

This tragedy is unlike any other the NHL has ever seen, a player ripped from his family, and his wife expecting a child. Our hearts go out to the Gaudreau family and especially Meredith as they continue to deal with this unimaginable tragedy.
