Team USA's LeBron James has been under major fire lately for how he mistreated a young fan and now former NHL referee Tim Peel was the latest to bash him.

There have been a lot of controversies at the recent 2024 Paris Olympic Games and the wacky news just keeps on piling up. Former NHL referee Tim Peel has just joined in on the fun and has ripped into LeBron James for what he recently did after his country won Gold at the Olympics in basketball. Tim Peel has had his fair share of controversy calling games in the NHL and was fired a few years ago after he was caught saying that he called useless penalties in a game just because he felt like it and wanted to.
LeBron James and Team USA have just won gold at the Olympics after they beat France 98-87. He was on his way to celebrate his victory at a nightclub nearby, when a young fan intercepted him on the street and tried to snap a selfie photo with him. LeBron rudely told the fan to stop and nearly shoved him, before continuing to the club's entrance where he began to dance with all his friends.
"Stop, stop, stop, stop. Don't do that."
Tim Peel didn't like what he saw and quickly vented his thoughts on social media. Peel believes that any NHL player in that exact position as LeBron would never have been so rude and not done what he just did.
NHL players are known to be extremely rough on the ice, and some would say they have a level of hate towards each other not seen in any other sport in the world, including basketball. However one big difference is that once the game ends on the ice, hockey players have been known to be very involved in the community and very happy to take pictures with fans and sign autographs. Here's hoping LeBron James will learn from this terrible act he's just committed and will do better in the future, as his reputation has now been tarnished.
